CFA Western Region and Lal Lal Wind Farms came together on-site on 4 September 2025 for an open exchange on operations and emergency response.

The session provided an opportunity for regional brigade leaders and training coordinators to raise the questions they encounter when supporting their members, while the wind farm team shared practical insights from working daily with turbines and associated infrastructure.

The exchange was valuable on both sides giving firefighters greater clarity to take back to their brigades, and helping Lal Lal Wind Farms better understand the concerns and perspectives of those who may be first responders in the area.

As one of the instructors noted, it was really a case of “debunking the myths” that often circulate about renewables and replacing them with clear, factual information. The session also reinforced the importance of strong relationships and communication between wind farm operators and emergency services.
